# Reviewer take: we score MCP wrappers on purpose

REST can be excellent. We still score MCP higher when the agent needs discovery, OAuth, and a first-class read-only mode. That is a rubric choice. Argue it.

Wrapper is the point. Tool discovery is what we test on day one of a review.

Read-only mode is a scored feature. A raw key in a prompt is a fail.
